Darling, there's no need to worry, 'cos elektricity will keep me warm.

Line ups for WHP in Manchester came out today, I'm craving to go back so much now. Hoping to god I'm back in a normal state by then and can actually go to the ones I wanna go to. Have no idea how things are gonna progress with my leg, and don't know if I'll even find out at my appointment on Tuesday. Positive attitude is waning.

Been listening to London Elektricity's latest album 'Yikes' again today, love how chilled London Elektricity's stuff is. Was listening to some old Hospitality podcasts as well, need to catch up on them, played a tune by BCee feat. Lingby called Count The Stars; so good. This kind of drum and bass is something I always associate with Manchester, really cannot wait to get back and be independent again, don't know how long that's gonna take though.

Found another one of Brian Fallon's pre-Gaslight Anthem bands the other day, Brian Fallon and the Cincinnati Rail Tie, they only brought out one EP, but the few songs they did make are excellent, as, in my opinion, is anything Brian Fallon does.

Dosing up on the vitamin C and tea at the moment, hoping it may cure my cold.
Peace.

You can only fool yourself for so long.

Chase & Status' album No More Idols is fucking excellent. Don't care how mainstream they are becoming, they still make very good music.

Only productive thing I've achieved in the last week is becoming absolutely incredible at Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Have spent too much time playing, and it is ridiculous that I class it as a productive thing to spend hours doing, aha. My mates got a free house at the moment, perfect opportunity for me to start getting out again, even if it does mean my drinking is back on the up. Also the smoking, but I need to keep that under control, can't have my ankle fucking up further purely because I can't resist a cancer stick. Gotta continue to attempt to save money as well, but don't think that's gonna happen.

Can't wait for my next hospital appointment on the 26th, could be given bad news but I am sick of waiting.

And they say, she's in the class A team, stuck in her daydream, been this way since eighteen

The A Team by Ed Sheeran is such a beautiful song, been pretty much listening to it on repeat since yesterday. As well as Finale by Funeral Party, such a tune. Getting back into my indie after listening to nothing but dnb for months.

Heard a preview of Brian Fallon's new band, The Horrible Crowes, today, sounds like it's gonna be an amazing album, have to wait until September for the release though. Until then will have to make do with continuing my obsession with Gaslight Anthem.

Definitely deserve a much worse hangover than I have today, drank an unnecessary amount for a quiet night at the pub last night. Still woke up at 7am feeling not too bad, my sleeping patterns are that of a person working 9 to 5, bit useless when my days are mostly spent inside with the inconvenience of a broken ankle. Has meant that I get far too excited about small outings though, everything feels like such a novelty. Got a day out at a manor house and gardens with my family tomorrow for my sisters birthday, definitely something that would have been a chore in the past, and I'm now really quite looking forward to.

I know I said this injury was just plain depressing despite any silver linings, but there are actually a lot of things that have come from this which I wouldn't have achieved if I'd just continued the way I was going. Yes, it completely stopped me living a normal life for a couple of months, and still does to some extent, but I've managed to practically quit smoking, from a 30 a day habit, cut down my drinking drastically, and save quite a lot of money.
And, when it comes down to it, things could have been a lot worse.

Peace.

So it's been a while...

Went to University and completely got out of the short-lived habit of blogging. Now seems like a perfect opportunity to start it up again since my life has come to a bit of a standstill seeing as I was clever enough to longboard down the hill to my house at about 30mph after drinking 4 litres of Sainsbury's basics cider. Ended in my bone being ripped out of my leg, pleasant I know... Broke my talus, pretty much the worst bone to break in the body. Go big or go home. Aha, but yeah, have been in a cast stuck at home for almost two and a half months. Not gonna go into that though, it's altogether quite depressing however many 'silver linings' there are.

Anyway, have discovered some awesome songs/bands recently, Lions In Cages by Wolf Gang and Home by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros are both indescribably good.
Also been doing an unhealthy amount of online shopping, today received a watch and a pair of sunglasses from Urban Outfitters, both are beautiful:

Anyway, seems a bit ridiculous to leave a blog for a year and then come back to it without much explanation as to what's happened over that year. Went to Manchester Uni, have made some incredible friends who I can tell are friends for life. Absolutely love the city and my life there, cannot wait to get back to it, even if I'm going to have to retake most of the year. Have a house sorted with two of my best friends for September, it'll be amazing to actually move in a make it our own.

All I need to do is wait out this injury, and I can get back to real life. Peace.

You liked to play with darkness all the universe could give, I was the home you once tried to escape, the dark in which you lived

Back to indie and half-arsed sunshine.

Want to spend the day with special people walking somewhere like this and end up with a night at the pub. However, due to lack of funds on my part and effort on anyone elses, this will not be happening.

Uni soon, some of the people I thought a few months ago would be the people I'd miss the most seem to not really care if they see me or not before we all leave. Funny how times change... it happens I guess.

Every night I remember that evening, the way you looked when you said you were leaving

It's been a beautiful summer, all ended in the perfect way of getting into Manchester University :) still got about three weeks before I leave, but it's all creeping up way too quickly. Ridiculous amount of planning needs to take place, shopping for cooking equipment, clothes, stationary, learning to actually write legibly again, setting up a student bank account, etc, etc. All the things I have to do are swamping me completely... and as always there's the issue of money and not having any. Can't believe I'm gonna be leaving everyone either, that terrifies me completely, met some absolutely amazing people this summer and it's not gonna be enough time before I have to leave them. I have to survive on my own now haha.
